Queens University of Charlotte

Since 2002, Leadership Charlotte has been housed in the McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte. The synchronicity between these two organizations stems from their commitment to leadership development.

The McColl School of Business believes that business needs leadership – competence, character and commitment to community – at all levels. A command of business skills such as implementing a strategy or understanding marketing principles as well as being self-aware and knowing how to influence people are critical to success in business and help make our community even better. Regardless of the role you are in, when people work together effectively, productivity increases, problems are avoided and great things can happen.

The McColl School of Business provides leadership students access to Networking Mentors so that they can strengthen their skills of building relationships with and without an immediate agenda, expand their contacts in the community, benefit from the wisdom of others’ experience and develop their overall leadership capacity.

The Leaders In Action Lecture Series integrates business knowledge and leadership skills, focusing on competence, character and commitment to community.

If you are interested in volunteering as a networking mentor, or would like more information about Leadership Initiatives, please contact Christa Robaina.
