Each year Leadership Charlotte celebrates leadership, our alumni, and those who are creating a legacy in our community. Award category descriptions are below. I would encourage you to pass this information along to friends and colleagues, and please note that you do not need to be a Leadership Charlotte alum to submit a nomination or to be nominated.

Lifetime Achievement Award
This individual has demonstrated a commitment over time to serving the community in various capacities. He/She has made significant contributions, both personally and professionally, to the betterment of Charlotte and serves as a role model in volunteer community leadership.

Unsung Hero Award
This individual works quietly behind the scenes for the good of the community and demonstrates leadership through dedication and service to the Charlotte-area community. He/She contributes time and talent, though not publicly heralded.

Newcomer of the Year Award
This individual, who has lived in Charlotte less than five years, has actively sought opportunities to improve the quality of life in our community. He/She has made significant contributions, both personally and professionally, to the betterment of Charlotte.
